$Figure S1. Enhanced 13C DNP for particles in solution. (A) Panels indicate that 13C polarization enhancements are in fact enhanced when the particles are immersed in solvents, which we attribute to better refractive index matching to diamond. We compare the obtained enhancements for e6 200µm diamond microparticles (Fig. 5C of main paper) dry (nr = 1), in water (nr = 1.33), and in DMSO (nr = 1.48).$
